To-do

End of day

0 of 3 priorities set, 0 hours planned. Put priority 1 in your first free slot.

To tick things off as you go, open GoalTracker, use the upload icon in the header and pick the .json file. Your priorities become subgoals due today, and your to-dos become checkable microgoals.

How to plan your day so it holds up

Plan the night before or first thing in the morning, before email. Start with the goal today moves forward. If a task doesn't connect to it, it can probably go on the to-do list rather than in your top 3.

Priority 1 is your frog: the task you'd most like to put off. Give it your first free hour in the schedule, not whatever time is left at the end. Leave some hours empty on purpose. A day planned to the minute falls apart the first time a meeting runs over.

At the end of the day, write down one win and tomorrow's first task, so tomorrow already has a start. Nothing is saved on this page, so print or download your plan before you close the tab.

This page plans one day. To sort a long task list first, use the priority matrix; to look back over the week, the weekly review template. Also useful: 30-day habit tracker, Eat the Frog method.
